Projects
The leading scientists from Istanbul University has been conducting significant scientific research in and around Van since the beginning of 1960s. Besides excavations and surveys, the Center hosted the 3rd (1990) and 5th (2001) meetings of the Anatolian Iron Ages Symposium. Following the 21st century research protocols in social sciences, VANTAM, has been hosting numerous research projects. The Center provides support for projects funded by Istanbul University’s Office of Scientific Research Coordination (BAP) as well as the Technological and Scientific Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) and various other funding agencies for scientific research. The Center also supports various collaborative research.
