VANTAM Research Center
The Center is located at the center of the city of Van, close to the Lake Van. The Center covers 13 ha. that has cherry, sour cherry, and apricot trees. Two buildings are available for researchers. Stake holders and guest researchers may conduct scientific research after obtaining necessary permits.
The Main Building has a conference room (seating 40 people), specialized library that offers books and publications on the region, study rooms, restoration and conservation labs, computer lab, drafting room, dining hall, kitchen, depots, and bedrooms. The Annex only has bedrooms and bathrooms, which function as guest house for students and researchers.
VANTAM is about 20 minutes on foot from the Archaeology Museum of Van, which takes about 5 minutes by car. The Museum displays finds from archaeological research that has been supported by the Center since 1967.
